Quiet Hours

Tell Taskitos when not to bother you. No notifications during sleep, dinner, or focused work time.

What Are Quiet Hours?

Quiet Hours is a time window during which Taskitos won't send any notifications - no emails, no push notifications, nothing.

Default: 10:00 PM - 7:00 AM

This covers typical sleep hours for most people. Adjust to match your actual sleep schedule.

Timezone Matters

Quiet Hours are based on your timezone setting. 10 PM means 10 PM in YOUR timezone, not server time.

How Quiet Hours Work

When a notification would normally be sent during quiet hours:

  1. Taskitos checks if the current time falls within your quiet hours
  2. If yes, the notification is not sent
  3. When quiet hours end, Taskitos resumes normal notification behavior
  4. Any overdue tasks get their next scheduled notification after quiet hours

Notifications Aren't Queued

Notifications blocked during quiet hours aren't saved and sent later. You'll receive the next scheduled notification when quiet hours end, not a flood of missed ones.

Example Scenarios

Night Owls

If you sleep late and wake late:

Quiet Hours: 2:00 AM - 10:00 AM

Early Risers

If you go to bed early and wake early:

Quiet Hours: 9:00 PM - 5:00 AM

Including Dinner Time

If you want peace during evening family time:

Quiet Hours: 6:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Pro Tips

  • Set a buffer before bed - End your notifications 30-60 minutes before you actually sleep. Task reminders right before bed can cause anxiety.
  • Consider your morning routine - If you don't check tasks until after breakfast, extend quiet hours past your wake time.
  • Adjust seasonally - You might want different quiet hours in summer vs winter if your schedule changes.
  • Weekends are the same - Currently, quiet hours are the same every day. Plan for the earliest you'd want notifications on weekends.
