Your First Task

Let's create your first task and experience how Taskitos helps you get things done.

Creating a Task

There are several ways to add a task in Taskitos. Let's start with the most common method: the Quick Add bar.

1

Open the Dashboard

After signing in, you'll land on your dashboard. This is your home base where all your tasks live, organized by time categories.
2

Use Quick Add

At the top of the dashboard, you'll see the Quick Add bar. Click on it or press the + button.
3

Type Your Task

Type what you need to do, then choose a preset time, custom due date, tags, or recurrence options before saving.
4

Set Details (Optional)

You can star it for urgent reminders, add tags to organize it, or make it recurring. These are all optional.
5

Save

Press Enter or click the save button. Your task is now created and will appear in the appropriate time category (Today, This Week, etc.).

Fast Capture

Quick Add is designed for fast task entry. Common choices are one tap away:
  • 1 hour, 2 hours, this evening, or 4 hours
  • Tomorrow morning or tomorrow afternoon
  • Next week, no due date, or a custom date
  • Daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly recurrence

Understanding Task Fields

Due Date

When the task needs to be completed. This determines which category your task appears in (Today, This Week, etc.) and when reminders start.

Starring

Star tasks that need urgent attention. Starred tasks get a more frequent reminder cadence than unstarred tasks.

Tags

Color-coded labels to organize tasks. Create tags like "Work", "Personal", "Health", etc. Filter your task view by tag to focus on specific areas.

What Happens After You Create a Task

Once your task is created, here's what to expect:

  1. Task appears in the right category - Based on the due date, it'll show in Today, This Week, This Month, or Later.
  2. Reminders are scheduled - When due time arrives, you'll start receiving email notifications.
  3. Escalating reminders - If you don't complete it, Pro reminders can continue on the app's starred or unstarred cadence.
  4. Auto-rescheduling - Pro users can have missed tasks automatically reschedule to keep them visible.

Respect for Your Time

Taskitos respects your Quiet Hours setting. No reminders during your sleep time! Configure this in Settings → Notification Preferences.
